When I started putting short acoustic bits at the end of my song videos, I didn’t really anticipate how popular they would get. I’ve been getting a lot of requests to do a full acoustic song, and the one I got asked to do a full version of the most was the acoustic short at the end of the original GaMetal Stickerbush Symphony video.
I kept the majority of the song very simple, like I do the usual acoustic bits. I figured simplicity is a lot more relaxing than a bunch of crazy complex stuff, and Stickerbush is a relaxing song. Not to mention I’m not quite at the ‘insane’ level of acoustic-style playing just yet.
My original remake of this song was one of the most popular songs from the 2011 era, so choosing it as the first full-acoustic song was an easy choice: a lot of people were requesting it, most GaMetal fans are familiar with the old version, and it converts to acoustic format very easily. All the solo’s and stuff from the original version are in this rendition; slowed down, of course, to better suit the mood.
It was a lot of fun doing something different for a change (and a lot easier as well), I will definitely do another acoustic song sometime in the future, so stay tuned!
