Download (End card acoustic short: Count Canolli)
There are a lot of games with great soundtracks out there that get overlooked because the game itself turned out to be mediocre (Silver Surfer), or just flat out wasn’t popular. I’m talking, of course, about Shrek Fairytale Freakdown.
Just kidding. That game sucked from all angles. Anyways, I was getting a few requests for Count Cannoli from Wario: Master of Disguise, so I checked it out and liked it a lot. Upon closer inspection, I discovered the whole soundtrack was pretty awesome.
The game isn’t very popular, with the original version of the song having only about 20k views on Youtube. So I figured if I didn’t do it, nobody would. GaMetal to the rescue!
I found this to be one of those simple but effective songs to do. It’s very catchy; the main reason I decided to do it is because it kept getting stuck in my head. I finished it rather quickly as well: it only took a few days to get all the major stuff done.
The end of the Guitar solo is a nod towards the Carpaccio battle theme. I think sometime in the future I’ll end up doing that song; it sounds like some straight up Yngwie Malmsteen stuff.
Not much else to say about this one. Check out the Wario: Master of Disguise soundtrack sometime!
